Looking Ahead

By Solfest HQ, 21 October 2013 – 15 comments

Following the huge success of our 10th Solfest, we've now held our Annual General Meeting and have elected a team to take up the Solfest baton and carry it forward into the future.

We have taken the decision not to hold a Solfest festival in the summer of 2014. This allows us a much needed break after ten long years, and also gives us the chance to concentrate our efforts on Solfest 2015.

When we return, we intend to remain one of the most loved and best valued family friendly festivals in the country.
We would like to thank all our supporters for their hard work and commitment over the last ten years.

We are as committed as ever to the Solfest ethos and our passion for getting it right and creating the type of festival which you all deserve.

We look forward to seeing each and every one of you back in our usual spot between the 28th and 30th of August 2015. We’ll keep the grass warm for you!

Such a shame, but having worked there myself in 2011, I can understand your exhaustion! Have a good break and make sure you do put it back on again.

Sorry to hear that there will be no Solfest in 2014 - have been to almost all of the last 10 years and have played the Drystone Stage three times in two different bands. But you guys do a fantastic job and deserve a break; we know you will come back even better than ever in 2015!

Really disappointed! 2013 was probably my most enjoyable Solfest (if you gave it a miss because of the so-called 'poor line-up' then more-fool you)

Hope its only a break guys, rather than the end

Been to 9 of the 10 so summer wont feel complete without a Solfest! The break is well deserved though and hope to return in 2015!

Well, ain't that a shame (there's a song in there somewhere!)

Though I've worked as a steward at three festivals (2010/11/12) I decided to try elsewhere this year - my mistake!

I'll just have to wait until 2015. See you then.
